Downtown Huntsville will soon be home to a large new mixed used development called City Centre.

Entertainment in Madison County

There are always things to do in Madison County. Locals love catching the latest flicks at Monaco Pictures, the Hollywood Stadium 18 and Valley Bend 18, but if you want live actors performing the classics and brand-new plays, you’re in luck. We have the Huntsville Community Theatre, Theatre Huntsville and the Renaissance Theatre, where local actors are always shining on stage.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation honored Huntsville by naming it one of “America’s Dozen Distinctive Destinations for 2010.” The area was populated by Native Americans as early as 1300, and it became an official city in 1805.

Madison County, more specifically Huntsville, has a spectacular place in American history, but its present-day museums and attractions are second-to-none in the area. From the U.S. Veterans Memorial Museum, which will stir up your patriotism and keep you inspired, to the Huntsville Botanical Gardens, which brings the peace of nature into the heart of the city, there is plenty to appreciate in this friendly town. We’re also home to NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, Harmony Park Safari and the U.S. Army’s Aviation and Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal.
